After your wonderful baby arrives, you want
to make sure that it is safe. There are many things we do in our
homes to ensure the safety of our bundle of joy. We put plugs over
electrical outlets, we get gates for our stairs and we move all harmful
things out of baby's reach. We never thought that the trusted brand
of bottles we were using could be harmful to our baby. However,
there are many popular bottles that are made form PBA (bisphenol
A). PBA is a harmful chemical that is used in
a variety of baby bottles, as well as other plastics to make them
hard. PBA can leach into the liquid that is in the bottle. It
is more likely to leach if the bottle is heated, or if it is cleaned in
the dishwasher. Many Canadian companies have voluntary removed
bottles from their shelves that contain PBA.
